Yes and No. During your evaluations we will be watching your dogs behaviors, how you interact with them and chat about the problems you are experiencing. Based on all of that information we will come up with a training plan to best fit everything we discussed. If you have a preference to a certain training program we offer we are happy to discuss that and use that when coming up with our recommendation!
If you’re ready to unlock your dog’s true potential through training and are willing to put in the time and consistency needed for long-term success, then yes, we’re the right fit for you. Our training focuses on building clear communication and strengthening the relationship between you and your dog.
Success doesn’t happen overnight. It requires applying what you learn, staying consistent, and setting your dog up for success in everyday life. We understand this journey because we’ve been there ourselves, working through challenges like reactivity and over-arousal before becoming professional trainers. Our goal is to guide and support you and your dog every step of the way.
Yes, we use specific brands of training tools on our clients. These are tools that we know and trust with our own dogs. However, we also tailor each training program and the tools to each individual dog. We know that not every dog is the same therefore not every dog will need the same tools, if any at all. At Macho K9 Training, we take a relationship based approach to dog training. Teaching every behavior positively through positive reinforcement methods and cooperative care. We only layer in feedback from us and the use of tools, if necessary, once behaviors have been taught!
8 weeks and up to date on vaccinations based on your veterinarians vaccination protocols!
We need up to date records of Bordetella, Rabies, and Distemper for dogs over 4 months/16 weeks! If your puppy is under 16 weeks, we will follow your veterinarians Vaccination protocol and they must be up to date based on their recommendation for Rabies and Distemper, BUT Bordetella must be given by your Veterinarian before entering the building.
We guarantee that we will train your dog to meet the goals discussed in your evaluations upon completions of your training program, but long term success lies in your hands with the information passed on in your lessons, teaching you how to follow through with training at home, and reinforce behaviors.
To reserve a spot in an Immersive Training program we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. This deposit is in place as reconfiguring the schedule due to cancelled program is often not possible. The schedule is built around the dogs that are signed up with deposits, therefore we must enforce this rule. If program is paid in full before the start date, and you decide to cancel, you will receive a 50% refund.
Private lessons must be paid in full, these can be rescheduled if given at least 24 hour notice before your scheduled lesson time.
Yes! We currently offer 10% off of training for veteran, active military, and first responders (Police, Fire and EMTs/paramedics) Proof of service is required for this discount to be given.
Yes! A big portion of the evaluation is observing how you dog does when in a new space, and it also allows us to start building a relationship with your dog before their training starts! Bring your dog as if you were taking them out in public, using whatever you usually use for training!
